Case Study Overview

Utility Distribution (Power Station)

Loy Yang Power Station is a brown coal-fired thermal power station located on the outskirts of the city of Traralgon in Victoria, Australia. The facility was constructed beginning in 1977 and was brought into service between 1984 and 1988.

The power station is now capable of generating in excess of 2,200 megawatts. The contribution of the Loy Yang Power Station to the National Electricity Market demands superior and reliable power distribution equipment.

For this energization project, Exnovo supplied:

  • 2x 20KVA 22,000/415V Cast Resin Dry Type Transformers with an IP42 enclosure
